Welcome to Scituate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Your Scituate Oral Surgeon
At Scituate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, our patients aren’t just a number. They are people who have fears and anxieties, and our mission is to make each person feel like they are our only patient. We desire that our patients leave our practice informed, satisfied, and excited to refer their friends and family to us. Customer service is a big priority for our practice. We go above and beyond. Living and working locally in Scituate, Oral Surgeon An-Louise Johnson, DMD, MD and her staff are dedicated to supporting their community.
Dental Anxiety and Anesthesia
Many of our patients are children, so anxiety management is an essential part of our practice. To make you comfortable during surgery, we offer various anesthesia options and have staff fully trained and certified in administering anesthesia. We are keenly aware of how common anxiety can be amongst our patients, so we make gentle, compassionate patient care and customer service are our top priority.

Health and Safety Protocols
For your safety, all staff are BLS certified. Dr. Johnson’s certifications include:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
We follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), infection control, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines. HIPAA instructs us how to safeguard your personal health information while OSHA establishes safe and healthy working conditions.
Wisdom Teeth
If your child is between the ages of 15-25, now is the best time to meet with us for a wisdom teeth evaluation! The window of time while the roots are still developing is the easiest time for removal, as the wisdom teeth have not yet impacted the mouth. Contact our practice to see if you or your child need their wisdom teeth evaluated.
Dental Implants
An implant is an ideal replacement for a missing tooth because it looks, feels, and functions just like a normal tooth. Dental implants allow you to chew, smile, and laugh with ease, considerably changing the way you live. Call us for a consultation! You and your child’s comfort is of our utmost concern, so our experienced, cross-trained staff will spend as long as it takes to answer all your questions.
Orthodontic Extractions
We avoid tooth extractions unless absolutely necessary. But if your tooth becomes broken beyond repair and there are no other options, fear not. Dr. Johnson’s unsurpassed level of expertise combined with her kind and gentle care will provide you with the highest level of oral treatment.
